Another large plus of grommet is that while you are happily making holes for nails and hooks you might not realize that you are also putting in holes made perfect for bungee cords, the grommets intended purpose. Now you can suspend your cardboard walls overhead and make them ceilings. Shifting walls and ceilings are easily made by stretching out a sheet of cardboard so it is suspended mid air. Using a PVC or 2 x 2 lightweight frame to stretch and anchor the bungee's to. Moving the frame can easily be accomplished with air rams or motors. Even easier is to suspend the sheet on a frame and have it anchored so you can manipulate the cardboard itself. Probably somewhat safer as well.
There is in fact no reason that you could not create a mini version of these boxes for your own emergency use. You should have no problems supplying many of the items included in it that would benefit you and your family. Most are easily supplied resources found at your local Wal-Mart store or a nearby Harbor Freight location. Let's be realistic here, you wouldn't need an expensive 10 man arctic tent in your kit, so some variations are certainly in order. Perhaps a $100 - 6 person type family tent along with a heavy duty ground tarp would fit the bill nicely.
While there are many compost drums on the market and many plans for home built ones; this one is a little different. I designed this compost system to easily transfer the finished compost into a garden cart. This system has few parts and all are easily obtained if you don't already have them on-hand. The system includes a barrel and the platform on which it rides. Here is a materials list.
Everything comes down to marketing. You are married because you market to your mate enough to be married. Your kids don't hate you because you market to them just enough that they don't hate you. The big Secret is to learn marketing, and you can plug in what ever you like, and it will succeed. Towing a trailer with signs behind your bike is different enough that it will get noticed!
There were a lot of people who spoke have ordered from both companies and because of this they are able to compare quite easily. A lot of people said that when it came to quality they felt that Northern was slightly better than Harbor Freight. It does not stop here. People wanted selection and a lot of people said that Northern had a bigger catalog of items that its competition. Now you can take this at face value, but it is better for you to see about this for yourself. Bigger does not always mean better, especially if the selection is for tools and equipment you just do not need.
As far as materials you have a good choice. There is always the old standby: balsa wood. Balsa is light and easy to cut. A better choice might be plastics, in which case I would recommend using plastic from Evergreen Scale Models. That company produces a wide variety of shapes (sheet plastic, I beams, corrugated, etc.). Plastic also produces plastic in many construction type shapes.
