For the beer lover, the obvious choice is a kegerator. If you cannot afford a kegerator, then the next best thing is a set of Pilsner glasses and the largest pack of his favorite beer you are willing to splurge on. It will be a hit and you will be rewarded with many thanks. Likewise for the wine lover, a simple but nice wine rack filled with wine will be wildly appreciated. Many stores offer a 10% discount if you purchase 6 bottles or more, so purchase a wide selection for him to enjoy.
Prior to the tool, boards were cut out in partial sections, next came along a hammer and chisel. All the remaining splinters needed removal plus nails if it was a nail down fastened floor. This tool can slice nails in one pass or remove older adhesives in simple fashion. In previous days a hand held floor scraper or sharp chisel was needed for the work.
The assembly instructions had me using a bolt, two washers, and a locknut on each leg to hold it in place. Problem is, that means that the legs will wear on the sideplates. Not a good idea. I bought 8 more flat stainless steel washers and slipped those washers in between the legs and the sidepanels. Now the legs will wear on the washers instead of the sideplates. This makes the leg securing assembly consist of the bolt head, washer, sideplate, washer, leg, washer, other sideplate, washer, then the locknut. So each of the legs now has 4 washers: two washers on the outside of the side panels, and two washers to keep the leg from rubbing on the sidewall directly. Again, don't overtighten, or the workbench won't fold up.
Any kind of art can get messy. You will want to create a dedicated work space for yourself where it doesn't matter if you get colors on something. You will need ventilation so that you do not inhale any dust. You can achieve this by working outdoors. If this is not possible, choose a space with an open wall like a garage, or work in front of an open window with fans to blow the air away from you. It's possible to buy or build a spray booth to isolate any over spray and remove it.
A brief word on charcoal. Briquettes are, by far, the most popular charcoal type. They light quickly and burn consistently. However, briquettes are made with additives, and those additives produce more ash. Lump charcoal (made by an oxygen deprived burning of hardwood) has no additives, produces less ash, burns much hotter than briquettes, and imparts a slight essence of the native wood to foods. But the biggest advantage of lump over briquettes is that lump can be added directly to the fire because all of the toxins have been burned out of the lump charcoal. Briquettes must be pre-burned; that means another chimney of coals before adding to the fire.
The first step to preparing for a shipment is selecting a handling unit that allows for your item(s) to be transported efficiently and safely. A handling unit is considered a forklift-ready preparation of the item to be shipped with. Oftentimes, the slot where forklifts and pallet jacks are inserted under the freight is called "cribbing". In a lot of cases, however, large items to be loaded on a flatbed truck can just be hoisted on to the truck with a forklift or other loading equipment and moved as a piece and strapped to the platform appropriately (and possibly even covered with tarps for weather protection). Sometimes, ramps may even be available to drive or move vehicles or equipment on to the truck bed. In general cases when you need to palletize the shipment, standard pallets most commonly suffice to accommodate the handling of the items, but the following is an extensive list of the types of shipping handling units:
