I finally decided on these metal shelves from Target. The brand is Room Essentials and they come in different widths and numbers of shelves and are also available in black. I purchased the wide three self system in chrome. I also added the industrial 4 inch casters. The shelves require no tools to assemble and the casters screw directly in to the bottom of the legs. Each shelf is rated to hold more than 300 pounds. I also bought a roll of shelf lining for the bottom two shelves. The shelves are modular so I can add additional units later if I want. Target has all of this together in one location in the store so it was a one stop shopping kind of thing. The total cost for the shelves and liner was right at $60.
Misc small tools: Drill motors at least one, you will drill hundreds if not thousands of holes, but seldom will you need the 1/2 chuck and big power, besides those drills are heavy. one cordless drill is nice to have 18 volt nothing smaller, and a couple spare batteries. Jig saw and finish sanders, just about any will do but get the best your budget will allow. one good random obit sander is a must, sticky back or hook and loop, I've used them both and don't have a favorite.
With specialized delivery and shipment programs that consolidate and distribute cargo throughout both Canada and the United States, advanced international distribution companies provide a catch-all service for the shipping requirements of everyone, be it a straightforward pick-and-drop service or being put in control of completely supervising a supply chain for an entire product and/or brand, no matter the size, shape, or amount of the goods in question.
The assembly instructions had me using a bolt, two washers, and a locknut on each leg to hold it in place. Problem is, that means that the legs will wear on the sideplates. Not a good idea. I bought 8 more flat stainless steel washers and slipped those washers in between the legs and the sidepanels. Now the legs will wear on the washers instead of the sideplates. This makes the leg securing assembly consist of the bolt head, washer, sideplate, washer, leg, washer, other sideplate, washer, then the locknut. So each of the legs now has 4 washers: two washers on the outside of the side panels, and two washers to keep the leg from rubbing on the sidewall directly. Again, don't overtighten, or the workbench won't fold up.
Installation time: take off all the switch and plug covers pull the boxes out if you can or unscrew the plugs and switches to leave ½ inch behind them. When all tile are dry you can screw them back down for a tight fit. Draw on the wall where any key pieces will go with magic marker or pencil but you will cover it. Using the trowel, comb the mastic/adhesive. Note: Types of adhesive. In order of strength.
To start your proposed shelter box first you must consider size. The size of the usual Shelter boxes are about 23.7 inches wide by 33.2 inches long and 22.4 inches deep. You would want to investigate purchasing a large plastic tote of approximately the same dimensions. Choose one of the black or dark green colors in order to easily identify and locate it in emergencies.
