Unfortunately, the finished workbench doesn't fold completely flat. But the workbench does function as I desired: it's a sturdy, portable workbench that I can easily carry around the house or out into the back yard to exercise my woodworking prowess. Adding a few extra speed clamps and a portable carpenter's 6" vise, and I'm good to go (my first project was to make and attach two ¼" wooden facing pieces to that 6" carpenter's vise's metal jaws).
Pallets, also known as skids, are forklift-maneuverable platforms, the standard sizes being 40" x 48" or 48" x 48" (length by width) and most commonly composed of plywood, though metal pallets are often used, too. They are usually about 40 pounds in weight. One can easily locate them behind most retail outlets or shopping centers, and they can also be obtained for free at other places. A general rule when loading your pallet is to not try to stack up the pallets any taller than 6-8 feet. Shrink wrap and/or straps are then commonly used to secure the items to the pallet. We recommend the items always boxed up or covered with cardboard. In the example of engines, motor, and transmissions, a standard pallet with straps will usually suffice perfectly.
Second, "Time", I try to give myself all the time I need so as not to be rushed. This is extremely important. If you don't have enough time you will surely loose your focus, break a smooth routine and end with a bike half done. No doubt with an attitude that you wasted a great deal of time and you know your right you should have just jumped on that puppy and took off. Give yourself all the time you need and your whole world will turn easier. And when you do clean it your "good attitude" will go the distance. When you're done all that work will leave you with a sense that it wasn't so hard to do and doing it again won't be so bad. And don't forget to take breaks frequently, drink a little work a little, drink a little work a little you'll be amazed how quickly you get finished and how much better you'll feel.
Are you familiar with the trucks which are built simply to be a moving bill board? Do they work? They would not exist if they did not work! How can you get attention, and display a large sign while riding your motorcycle? Find out! So how are you going to get a big sign on your motorcycle? First, you need a hitch. Find one on eBay for about $200. Or, check with your local motorcycle mechanic. Get the hitch on, and you're ready to tow!
He told me that he was so busy he had to take three guys with him just to finish all the work of his mobile car washing route so he could have enough time to do details in the afternoon. Apparently Santa Barbara was in a significant drought situation, and the car wash had been rationed for water. Each morning he would drive down to Ventura fill up his water tanks and drive back because he wasn't allowed to fill up the water tank in Santa Barbara due to the Level III Drought in his area.
First thing you're going to do roll on the mortar color first. For the mortar I use a lighter shade of gray than the stone color.....which is best black. Very dark and forbidding. You're going to want to get an extension pole for your roller or this might get hard. Broom handles work in a pinch and are even the right thread count. I then park all the vehicles on the street to free up room in the drive. You want fairly firm ground so the job of rolling paint evenly goes easy. Concrete is ideal but I've seen some dirt driveways that will work just as well given all the small stones are raked or swept so as not to poke through the cardboard and to insure even paint coverage. What will not work well is the lawn or your neighbors lawn so just use his driveway instead.
